These badges were made from old cigarette silks. Cigarette silks were added to packs of fancy cigarette packs back in the early 1900s. Cigarette silks came in a wide variety of designs, some even had images of popular actresses at the time, they were meant to appeal to women. These badges are roughly 4.5” x 2.25”. They have a 2” nickel bar pin glued to the back. All silks have had anti fray applied to the edges. These badges are quite delicate and fragile due to age and material so you must treat them with care.
